anymore. Back in the "old days" of tt.net (~99-00-ish), the Tokico vs. KYB was a common topic. And if I recall correctly, the general consensus was they were both "good", however a number of Tokico Illumina owners complained of premature leakage. Another disadvantage was the Illuminas are top adjustable in the rear, which requires cutting holes in the interior panels. Whereas the KYB AGX are adjustable under the car via a knob on the side of the shock body. The 3rd disadvantage, back then at least, was price. The AGXs were/are cheaper. As far as "performance" goes, I don't recall any evidence presented here that ever made a case for one being a better shock than the other. I believe most regarded them roughly the same. *shrug* Hope that helps your decision.
